Good article. Its interesting to see how true what this guy says when you compare to our raids or raids I have been a part of. Glad I read through the thing as he brings up some mistakes that I know I make and can improve on.

Thanks for sharing Chill

Also have you tried his multitask game that was imbedded in the article? So much Fun  Grin

http://iam.yellingontheinternet.com/2014/01/29/raid-awareness-is-a-learned-and-practiced-skill/

Pretty much this. 95% of the info on the internet when it comes to being a better raider is about min/maxing your gear and optimizing your rotation. But this is what will always determine whether or not we get that next boss kill for the week.

I have always used X-Perl for my raid frames.

I like the debuff highlighting (color coding the debuffs blue for magic, purple for curse , green for Poison and so on)  as well as the agro warning it shows over each character frame ( gives me a split second to throw a heal before they take damage). There are options for range finding, set to either 40 yards 30 yards or a specific ability, built into the frames so that it will fade a player out of range or out of phase ( eg. Norushen Test phase)

Its highly customizable and I recommend not using all default settings since some of them are just plain annoying. For example I hate the X-Perl cast bars in the targets Frame or in my own frame. I prefer the blizzard ones or the option to separate them from the frame. Luckily it has the option to use blizzard ones.   Same goes with self buffs appearing under my own frame. I simply just use  the blizzard ones.

Tons of options  to choose from, just throwing my 2 cents in. Keep in mind I mainly use X-Perl for healing though I do have it "on" for some of my dps I just don't pay attention to all the features with them.

Or really any addon that you think improves raid functionality. I like a lot of the features of elvui, but I'm looking for something a little cleaner looking.

Redoing my UI this weekend, and wondering what everyone uses for raid frames? I currently use elvui.

This is the coolest thing I have heard of since I last played. I always hated that lull of no newbs in the area making it difficult to or boring to quest in those. I will check this out with my new Worgen Druid.

Just stopping in because I was recently hit with a scroll of resurrection and wanted to check out the newer content. Worgen especially so I am working on that for the next week on an RP server with a buddy.

BUT...

I will be on here and there to see all you wonderful people whom I haven't seen in forever. THE FACE ROLLING GOLD FARMER IS BACK!! (For a limited time only)
What times are people on these days?

Also Khemri and Veela say "Hi" as well.

In addition to that, here is a recent pic for you all to admire.
