Title: Raid Frames
Post by: Chill on January 15, 2014, 05:52:26 PM
Redoing my UI this weekend, and wondering what everyone uses for raid frames? I currently use elvui.

Or really any addon that you think improves raid functionality. I like a lot of the features of elvui, but I'm looking for something a little cleaner looking.

I have always used X-Perl for my raid frames.

I like the debuff highlighting (color coding the debuffs blue for magic, purple for curse , green for Poison and so on)  as well as the agro warning it shows over each character frame ( gives me a split second to throw a heal before they take damage). There are options for range finding, set to either 40 yards 30 yards or a specific ability, built into the frames so that it will fade a player out of range or out of phase ( eg. Norushen Test phase)

Its highly customizable and I recommend not using all default settings since some of them are just plain annoying. For example I hate the X-Perl cast bars in the targets Frame or in my own frame. I prefer the blizzard ones or the option to separate them from the frame. Luckily it has the option to use blizzard ones.   Same goes with self buffs appearing under my own frame. I simply just use  the blizzard ones.

Tons of options  to choose from, just throwing my 2 cents in. Keep in mind I mainly use X-Perl for healing though I do have it "on" for some of my dps I just don't pay attention to all the features with them.
